CLUB HISTORY

Grimsby Town Ladies FC is into its 16th season. Originally established as a ladies team, it has developed a thriving junior set up, with players starting competitive football from the age of eight.

As one of the biggest women's clubs this side of the Humber, the team has been very successful in recent years, earning many league and cup honours. There are over 90 registered players, with younger teams playing in the Mid Lincs Youth League and the Ladies team playing in the Lincolnshire County League.

The club has taken representative teams on tour to Florida and the last two years has seen Grimsby Town Ladies' players gain places at The National Institute for Women's football at Durham, where they have had the opportunity to develop their football alongside academic qualifications. Many of the junior members throughout the years have gained places at centres of excellence and football academies at both Hull and Lincoln.

Grimsby Town Ladies Football Club provides high quality training for all ages and abilities and attempts to provide competitive games to all.

Players are placed in teams according to their age and ability, and leagues are sought appropriately to develop every player's abilities.

The club provides high quality training by F.A qualified coaches from Level one to UEFA B Licence. Training includes elements of fitness, skill development, tactical awareness and team work.

Membership to the club is £25 which includes a yearly membership fee, kit hire for the season and insurance cover for both training and matches. Training subs are paid monthly at £10 and match subs are paid on the day at £2. The Ladies Team only pay their yearly membership.

TRAINING DETAILS

Players of all age groups and abilities are welcome to have a free four week training trial with the club. The venues and times are:-

JUNIOR & INTERMEDIATE SQUAD (aged eight to under 14): Hereford Technology School - Thursdays 6-7pm;

SENIOR SQUAD (over 14): Hereford Technology School - Thursdays 7-9pm
